How to Properly Sign & Scan USCIS Forms

USCIS has certain formalities that are required for signatures on forms and declarations submitted by applicants.

If you are working with Malakouti Law on your immigration application, please follow the following instructions carefully for any signatures related to a USCIS application.

Instructions:

  1. Print and sign all forms (where signature is requested) by hand, not electronically (i.e. using docusign, Adobe Acrobat, etc.).

  2. Sign the forms in black ink.

  3. If you are working with Malakouti Law, email a copy of ALL pages of the document you are being asked to sign, not just the signature page.

  4. If you are emailing forms to Malakouti Law, make sure to use a scanner (not a cell phone to produce a very high quality, centered scanned file.

Note: improper signature or scanning will likely result in at least a short delay in your immigration case.

If you are a client of Malakouti Law, you can email the forms to Info@malakoutilaw.com with your first and last name in the subject line.

Thank you!
