Palau Digital Residency ID - Use for AAA roadside assistance in LA? (Field Report #16)

This article is part of our series exploring what exactly the Palau digital residency ID can be used for.

I made my sixteenth attempt to use the Palau digital residency ID in the week of February 12th, 2024 

I tried to use the ID to identify myself to AAA for roadside assistance in Los Angeles, California 

Result: successful. 

Explanation: This is a separate Palau ID use case than the AAA call in Las Vegas from 2023.

AAA roadside assistance requires a member calling for service to provide a photo ID. On this day, I had a dead car battery. When the AAA technician, I showed him my Palau digital residency ID. The technician accepted the ID and proceeded to assist without any further comment. 

Now we know that the Palau ID seems to be accepted by AAA in both Nevada and California. 

I’ll continue trying to use the ID, for both in-person notarial services, and other uses, and report the results here on Malakouti Law.
